Currie - Macdonald

Sacred Heart church, 96th street, Edmonton, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Tuesday, May 4th, when Margaret Mary, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex J. Macdonald was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Hugh Currie, of this city. The Rev. Father Phelon, pastor of the church, performed the marriage ceremony.
The bride who was given away by her father looked charming in a gown of gray georgette crepe. The bridal veil of tulle was wreathed with blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Clara Cameron, wore a pretty pink crepe de chene dress.
Mr. Hugh Cordon attended the bridegroom.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the brides' parent, 9343 107th avenue, where a tempting dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Currie were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents which showed the high esteem in which they are held by many friends.
Amid showers of confetti and rice Mr. and Mrs. Currie left on the midnight train for Calgary. Banff, and other western places where they intend spending a few weeks visiting friends. On their retrun they will make their home in Edmonton.
